Silkies are known for their unique appearance, with their fluffy feathers and distinct black skin. However, this breed is prone to balance problems due to their vaulted skulls, which can cause their brains to be positioned differently than in other chicken breeds. This can lead to difficulties with balance and coordination, making silkies more prone to falling or stumbling. Additionally, their feathered feet can also contribute to balance issues, especially in wet or muddy conditions. It's important for silkies to have a safe and secure environment to minimize the risk of injury due to their balance problems. **
