The founding members of the European Union (EU) are Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. These six countries signed the Treaty of Paris in 1951, which established the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), the precursor to the EU. Both myths have played significant roles in Roman culture and history, and each has its own unique elements and symbolism. Ultimately, the preference for one myth over the other is a matter of personal interpretation and cultural significance. **
