Mental illness is typically caused by a combination of genetic, biological, environmental, and psychological factors. However, it is important to remember that mental health is complex and can be influenced by a variety of factors, so it is always important to seek professional help if you or someone you know is experiencing mental health challenges. **

The terms "insane," "crazy," or "mad" are often used in a colloquial sense to describe someone who is behaving in an irrational or unpredictable manner. However, in a clinical or legal context, someone is considered to be insane if they are unable to understand the nature and consequences of their actions due to a mental illness or defect. This can be determined through a formal psychiatric evaluation and is often used as a defense in criminal cases. It's important to note that the use of these terms should be approached with sensitivity and understanding of the complexities of mental health. **
